Additional weight can be applied by turning the counterweight backwards so that the number scale faces the rear of the turntable.

These are tiny precision cut gemstones, and being so tiny, I expect the failure or reject rate is pretty high. So, likely a new Cartridge is a better option. The Audio Technica 95 or some variation of it, would probably be a good choice in your price range. WebJan 24, 2009 · I have two DUAL 1219s with Shure M91 (spherical stylus) and found that 1.8 to 2.0 g tracking force brings me excellent results ..... although I tried it with up to 3.5 g too, but that didn't really sound good .... same with lower tracking force, say 1.00 g I wouldn't imagine a cartridge tracking scale would be so wide - 1g to 3.5g! If I change the weight to say 2g to try and combat this would I be doing any damage to my Lps.
