It is a shaded walk over gently rolling land primarily through loblolly pine dominated woods. This is a scenic but relatively challenging trail that runs along the shore, over granite rocks, and includes a few steep sections. If you want something shorter, the actual Willow Lake Trail just runs along one side of the lake.
