They had major problems with their 50A units a few years back and exited this business. There was a recall on the 50A switches. I had one that burned before the recall. Yup, there is a recall on the iota transfer switch ITS-50R, and yes they do smell when you are melting wires, just had this happen in the past week . Was lucky no damage. I was on 30 amp. service , and it blew the shore power breaker. Basically what I got out of it was that Iota was pointing to the manufactuer for not torquing down the lugs tight enough or within spec.
