The success of the mission depends on Jesus Christ, who promised to always be with HIs disciples as they carry out their assignment (Matthew 28:20). WebbWe see Pentecost was a Jewish feast day and that God gathered the disciples there to receive the power of the Holy Spirit so they might go forth with miracles and signs, proclaiming the risen Christ as the Messiah. This they did. Remember, the Apostle Paul had not yet come on the scene.
